Apple Watch

Seconds for Apple Watch works independently of your iPhone. It runs in the background during workouts and uses haptic feedback to signal interval changes.

Interval Timer

Circuit / Tabata Timer

Configure a Circuit / Tabata timer right on the watch:

  1. Swipe between pages to set up the timer.
  2. Pick an activity from the Activity Picker.
  3. Start the workout.

My Timers

Timers synced from your iPhone. Tap any timer to pick an activity from the Activity Picker, then start.

Activity Picker

Pick an activity from the list — sourced from HealthKit, with recent activities at the top. The activity is required for Seconds to keep running in the background when you lower your wrist.

The Timer

Four screens that swipe between, starting on the Timer. Left to right: Workout Metrics → Options → Timer → Now Playing.

  • Timer — interval list to scroll through. Tap the current interval to play/pause; tap any other to jump there and start. The info bar shows heart rate, current / total work intervals, and total time elapsed.
  • Workout Metrics — heart rate, calories, distance.
  • Options — end the timer, reset interval progress, toggle water lock, or open settings.
  • Now Playing — music playback controls.

Summary

Shows the workout metrics. The workout saves to Apple Health automatically. Tap Done to exit.

Apple Watch Limitations

Apple Watch only allows one workout session at a time. Starting a workout in another app while Seconds is running ends Seconds' session, which stops Seconds from running in the background — alerts won't fire when you lower your wrist.
